• David Smotrich, MD

Dr.David Smotrich is the founder and medical director of La Jolla IVF. He has been very fortunate to be involved in many different service organizations and many different charitable works. He has been to Uganda twice to help with the building of a hospital as well as maternity center and care in World of Uganda Bishop Usilies Hospital. When the patients in Uganda heard that he was actually coming to see patients and that he was a fertility specialist there were some women that walked three days just to see him for evaluation. He was able to evaluate them and was able to help any of them have successful pregnancies. It was very fulfilling because in these rural environments where people have no means at all it is a primary concern is to be able to have children and have healthy families.

Dr. Smotrich to date has done over 6,000 Gestational Surrogate cycles, over 5,000 Egg Donation cycles and over 4,000 Gestational Surrogate/ Egg Donation cycles helping people in over 97 countries fulfill their dream of parenthood.
